The northern Fjords of Norway is perhaps the best region of the world to experience Orcas.  Along with Humpback and Fin Whales, they gather during the month of November to feed on herring that migrate in vast numbers into the Fjords. 

Frequently there are days when we are surrounded by hundreds of these animals at one time in a spectacular show of nature seen nowhere else. 

Our sites are precisely located close to where all the action is. Each season the location may shift to a different area, and we are always ready. Our Motto: “perfect time in the perfect place”.  During 2017 we followed the animals further north, as herring adapted to various  environmental changes. Scientists now expect that the herring to return back to the waters in and around Skjervøy for the next 2-3 Years.

We are the team of experienced whale watching skippers from the Azores, and have been working with whales and dolphins for over twenty years. We adhere to a strict code of conduct when interacting, and know how to position our vessels, and divers in a manner so not to disturb the natural behavior of these magnificent animals. Even though the whales and orcas seem to care little about our vessels coming close to them while they are feeding we continue to be mindful and respectful of their presence in, and out of the water. During the three to five hours of light we have each day, 500km north of the arctic circle, the action and shear number of whales in the water is an adventure most of our clients will not see anywhere else in the world. This is where the BBC came to capture the life of whales and orcas feeding in the BBC film Blue Planet 2.  After the days excitement comes to a close the night sky is filled with the spectacular display of the Northern Lights, otherwise known as the aurora borealis.
